Questions

Everything we have been asked so far, in one place. If yours is not here, ask Chris or Emma.

What does it cost?

The house is split by room and nights, and Chris and Emma cover part of it as a thank you for coming. Chris or Emma will send you your share.

The catamaran, the massages and the private chef are still being priced, and we'll post each one as it's booked. Flights, dinners and drinks out, and shopping are on you.

When should I arrive and leave?

The house is ours from Monday, November 23 at 3 PM until Thursday, December 3 at 11 AM. Come for as much of it as you can.

Send your flights to Chris or Emma so we can line up your rides to and from the airport.

Where am I sleeping?

Everyone stays at Ka'an-Tun, a seven-bedroom villa in Aldea Zama with a pool, a hot tub and a rooftop terrace. Everyone has a room of their own or shares with their partner.

Why that week?

Emma's birthday is Sunday, November 29, so the trip is built around that weekend. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday the 26th, which makes the time off a little easier.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, and it needs to be valid for the whole trip. If yours is expired or close to it, start now. Renewals take longer than anyone expects.

How do I get there?

Fly into Tulum International Airport (TQO). Most of us are on United's nonstop from Houston, landing at 3:35 PM on the 23rd. The house is about 35 minutes away, and we arrange the rides to and from the airport.

Should I rent a car?

No need. We arrange the airport rides and the trips to the marina and the beach club, and dinner in Aldea Zama is walkable. For anything else, the host has a driver you can message on WhatsApp.

Do I need cash?

Bring some pesos from home. The host says ATMs in Tulum can run out of cash and exchange rates in town are poor. A card like Wise works well too.
